This is PlainPetFood's public record of verified corrections and material methodology changes. We only publish entries supported by the relevant source or database change.
August 9, 2026: clarified unsafe and toxic summary labels
Summary cards that combine unsafe and toxic records now label that combined population plainly. Toxic-only research pages now use the toxic subset rather than the mixed summary ranking, and the methodology documents the deliberate fold.
August 9, 2026: corrected source-attribution claims
We removed broad claims that every food-safety record came from an official dataset. Records named by the FDA or ASPCA now cite that source on-page; other ratings are identified as PlainPetFood's editorial compilation rather than borrowing authority from neighbouring records.
